The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), founded in 1890,
is a volunteer service organization that offers opportunities
to promote patriotism, preserve American history,
and secure America's future through better education for children.
As the most inclusive lineal society in the country,
DAR boasts more than 175,000 members in 3,000 chapters
across the United States and internationally.
